Rabbi Avraham Horowitz established the distinct Shendishover court in Sędziszów Małopolski. From his הנהגה, the town’s name became the name of a Chassidic house.
His life gave a particular Shendishover form to the inherited Torah of Ropshitz and Melitz, carried through his family, Chassidim, and sacred places.

A teaching preserved in the publications records his insistence that the inward meaning of a mitzvah never replaces exact observance of the mitzvah itself.
Later Shendishover seforim preserve teachings, minhagim, and accounts received from the founding generation.
The kever, ohel, matzeivah, and cemetery remain the central sacred place of the founding generation. Recent work secured adjoining property, restored and maintains the ohel, cleaned the cemetery, improved access, and marked the mass grave.
